But I hadn't forgotten you!

Hellooo! How are we, gang? First of all, I want to apologise for neglecting my English speaking readers because I know youā€™re out there and Iā€™ve been writing in Spanish for weeks. But I hadnā€™t forgotten you! ā¤ļø

Is it weird that I find it easier writing in Spanish? Maybe Iā€™m less embarrassed in Spanish, whereas in English Iā€™m more aware of how I write and what Iā€™m sharing? Who knows, but Iā€™m here, Iā€™m doing it. āœØ

Iā€™ve been journaling a lot this year, mostly without prompts, just getting my thoughts out on paper so theyā€™re not whirring round my head or bringing me down unnecessarily. I like to put in some deeper questions to make sure Iā€™m journaling with purpose, reflecting with a little more depth - these prompts I usually just find on google. E.g. ā€œjournal prompts for healingā€, ā€œfor self-confidenceā€, ā€œfor setting goalsā€, whatever you need help with.

Today though I wanted to share a set of the more simple journal prompts I use and you can incorporate a couple of times into your week to start or end your day a little more focused on you. And I thought it would be fun to answer them along with you šŸ¤—

Moments from the last week or two.

A reminder that I LIVE my life, I drink, I go out, I dance, I have hangovers, I eat whole foods, I run and lift weights, I intermittent fast, I have busy days at work, I get 6 hours sleep sometimes and sometimes 9. Weā€™re all out here just doing our best and, for me right now, that means a little bit of everything with the people that bring me joy, and thatā€™s what wellness means to me. šŸ’›

Some easy journal prompts for you to try!

How am I feeling recently?

Alright this one is a bit personal, but I will share that the sensation that keeps coming up for me is ā€œgroundedā€, or maybe ā€œsolidā€. Itā€™s a feeling, but everything around me has been changing this year, my home, my previous relationship, work has even been a question mark for boring corporate reorg reasons, family health scaresā€¦, and yet Iā€™m still here. I am true to who I am, and I am certain of that, I am self-aware and my friends and family are supportive every step of the way. Thatā€™s how Iā€™ve been feeling.

What am I looking forward to?
